Our Social Fabric (OSF) is Canada’s first non-profit fabric store, dedicated to keeping textiles out of the landfill and making fabric more accessible to our creative community. Through our storefront in Vancouver and our online shop, we offer a curated selection of affordable, high-quality fabrics, all donated by designers, manufacturers, and home sewists.
But we’re more than just a fabric store - we’re a community hub for sustainability, creativity, and giving back. Every purchase and donation helps fund programs that provide free sewing machines to those in need, support local educators with fabric for classrooms, and create volunteer opportunities for people passionate about textiles.

RETAIL MANAGER
Part-time, 6 month contract (with renewal possibilities)
The Retail Manager plays a key role in driving sales and promoting Our Social Fabric’s mission through effective retail management. This role ensures the store is stocked with appropriate items, manages sales events, and leads a team of volunteers to deliver exceptional customer service. The Retail Manager collaborates closely with the General Manager, Ecommerce Manager and Marketing Manager to implement marketing strategies and contribute to the organization’s overall goals.
SHOP ASSISTANT
Part-time, 6 month contract (with renewal possibilities)
The Shop Assistant plays a key role in supporting Our Social Fabric’s retail and e-commerce operations. This position assists in creating an engaging shopping experience for customers, ensuring smooth sales processes, and contributing to the organization’s mission of sustainability and waste reduction.
