Sew Fun(d) Scholarship
Our Social Fabric is passionate about nurturing and inspiring the fibre arts community and encouraging the next generation of sewists. For this reason, we set up our Sew Fun(d) scholarship program - a scholarship to take the fun home.
The scholarship is for high school students and gives young designers in the Vancouver Lower Mainland area an opportunity to get their hands on a brand-new sewing machine. In 2022 and 2023 we gave away ten Janome 2030QDC sewing machines worth $929 each!
Do you know an aspiring designer who deserves a new sewing machine? Are they creative and skilled with their projects and always looking for extra class time to make their creations come to fruition? The Sew Fun(d) scholarship is for them!

The first four sewing machines were awarded in December 2022.
