Cubby Holding Service
Are you an avid customer of Our Social Fabric, but worried about the environmental impact of shipping multiple small orders? Our Social Fabric has recently introduced a new service that can help alleviate these concerns: cubby holding.
Our cubby holding service allows customers to place multiple orders but combine them later for shipping. Here's how it works:
Select 'cubby holding service' at checkout: When placing your first order, simply select the 'cubby holding service' option within the shipping options. This will indicate to our fulfillment team that you would like to use the cubby holding service.
Place orders as normal: Continue placing orders as you normally would, selecting 'cubby holding service' as the delivery option EVERY time (see sample checkout screen below). We will keep track of all your orders and hold them for up to 60 days.
Combine orders: Once you're ready to ship your orders, either wait for the 60 days to expire or send us an email letting them know you're ready to ship early. We will then send you an invoice for the combined shipping cost of all your orders.
Pay and ship: Once the invoice is paid, we will ship all your orders together as one package. It's as simple as that!
As we have limited storage space, please pay your shipping invoice within 30 days. As of December 1, 2023, customers will have 30 days to pay for cubby shipping invoices. Any cubby orders that have been invoiced for shipping but not paid within 30 days will be restocked and subject to a 100% restocking fee. Exceptions can be made if the customers emails email@example.com in advance of the 30 days to ask for an extension.
How to select cubby holding service at checkout:
The best part? We will only charge you the rate they pay Canada Post for shipping your order. There is a $0.50 charge for each cubby order placed to cover the extra staff time needed to run this service.
Not only does cubby shipping reduce the number of small packages being shipped, it also ensures that your orders are packaged and shipped together, reducing the environmental impact of shipping materials. Plus, it saves you money on shipping costs!

Cubby Holding Service - Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need a cubby if I am going to place multiple pick-up orders and collect them at the store?
No. Please use the pick-up option if you want to collect in-store. Pick-up orders should be collected within 90 days of purchase.
I have a cubby but I am going to be in Vancouver so would rather pick up my orders. What should I do?
There is no problem picking up your cubby orders in person, but please let us know in advance that you are coming so that we can make sure they are ready for you!
I got an email that my cubby has reached the 60-day limit. I want to add a couple of things to my shipment. How can I do that?
Ignore the invoice that has been sent. Place your additional order and let us know. We will send you a new invoice for the revised shipping total.
Should I pay for shipping on my final cubby order so you know I want them all shipped?
No, because if you pay for shipping on your last order that order will not be associated with your cubby and may be mailed out without the rest of your orders. You can send us an email to let us know you want your orders shipped or you can ask for your cubby to be shipped in the notes section when you place the order.

Can I combine cubbies with a friend?
Yes. Place your own separate cubby orders. When you are both ready to ship, state in the notes/email the names of the people whose cubbies you want to be combined on the shipping invoice. We will send a single invoice to whoever requests the shared cubbies. Sorry, we can't split cubby shipping costs across multiple invoices.
