Marketing and Communications Manager (part-time, permanent)
Initial 3-month contract before hiring on a permanent basis.

Key Responsibilities
|
1. Marketing Strategy and Execution:
- Develop and implement comprehensive marketing plans to increase brand awareness and drive sales.
- Create and manage content for all marketing channels including social media, email campaigns, website, and print materials.
- Analyze market trends and audience insights to inform marketing strategies.
- Coordinate promotional events, workshops, and community outreach programs.
2. Communications Management:
- Craft compelling narratives that communicate our mission and impact to various stakeholders.
- Develop press releases, newsletters, blog posts, and other written materials.
- Manage media relations and foster relationships with key journalists and influencers.
- Oversee the development and maintenance of our website and ensure content is current and engaging.
3. Brand Development:
- Ensure brand consistency across all marketing and communications materials.
- Develop and enhance our visual identity and messaging guidelines.
- Monitor and analyze the effectiveness of branding efforts and adjust strategies as needed.
4. Community Engagement:

Qualifications and Required Skills
|

Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, or a related field.

3-5 years of experience in marketing and communications, preferably within the non-profit or sustainability sector.

Strong understanding of digital marketing strategies, including social media, SEO, and email marketing.

Exceptional writing, editing, and verbal communication skills.

Proven ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Proficiency in marketing tools and platforms such as Canva, MailChimp, Meta Business Suite, Google Analytics, and Shopify.

Outstanding organizational skills, keeping to deadlines and delivering on promises. Experience with Trello, our preferred team productivity tool, a benefit.

Passion for sustainability and environmental issues.

Creative thinker with a proactive approach to problem-solving.

Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams and stakeholders.
