Article: June 2022 - recycling totals

June 2022 - recycling totals

Thanks to our donors, volunteers and customers we diverted 3,752 lbs (1,701 kg) of textiles and sewing-related materials from landfill in June 2022.

Our Social Fabric is a non-profit fabric store. As you might already know - we take fabric that might otherwise end up in landfill, sort it and sell it to the pubic.

What you might not know is we’re unique in that we do this with the aim of NOT making any profit. Nope we don’t want to make money. Our aim is to maximize the volume of fabric and fibre arts supplies that we prevent from ending up in landfill. Thank you for supporting us and being part of our community.

If you want to find out more about what it means to be a non-profit fabric store we have another blog post here
