October 2023 was another great month at OSF HQ. Through the partnership of our donors, an impressive 2,468 pounds of fabric and sewing-related materials were saved from landfill last month. 

The ongoing support of our donors, customers and volunteers is instrumental in our collective effort to combat the negative environmental repercussions of usable fabric ending up in landfills. Through their support, we are not only repurposing materials but also championing a more sustainable and eco-conscious approach to textile waste.

In our continuous effort to save more fabric from landfill, we have taken the decision to expand our store and warehouse space by acquiring a neighbouring unit to increase our footprint. The expansion will mean a bigger, more accessible retail store. With the extra room, we will also be able to process donations more efficiently, making more fabric ready for sale and saving even more fabric from landfill.
