Article: Moose-ive amounts of fabric from the landfill

Moose-ive amounts of fabric from the landfill

Last month, we saved moose-ive amounts of fabric from the landfill - over 1,800 lbs!"

In October 2024, Our Social Fabric saved 1,859 pounds of fabric and sewing-related materials from ending up in landfill - that amount of fabric weighs more than an average male adult moose! 🫎

This milestone was made possible through the generosity of our donors, the dedication of our volunteers, and the support of our customers. Every month, our non-profit works with the community to make significant environmental impacts by rescuing usable textiles and sewing supplies that would otherwise be labelled as waste.

Last month’s achievement highlights our commitment to sustainability, showing that together, we can create positive change for the planet - one metre of fabric at a time!
