Fabric recycling totals for March 2023

We are thrilled to announce that in March 2023, Our Social Fabric was able to divert an incredible 6,531 lbs (2,962 kilograms) of fabric and sewing-related supplies from ending up in landfills. This is a significant accomplishment, and we are so grateful to our donors and customers who made it possible.

Thanks to their support, we were able to rescue textiles that would have otherwise gone to waste. Not only does this help reduce the environmental impact of textile waste, but it also supports local artisans, small businesses, and individuals who are looking for affordable materials for their creative projects.

To put it into perspective, the weight we saved from the landfill is equivalent to around two small cars. That's a massive amount of textile waste that will not be polluting our planet, thanks to the efforts of our community.

We are humbled by the support we receive from our donors and customers, and we can't thank them enough for their support. Together, we are making a positive impact on the environment and the community, one metre of fabric at a time.
