Sneak Peak: Re-Purposeful’s Silent Auction

Re-Purposeful, our fashion history lecture and show, is only two weeks away!

You already know that Re-Purposeful is going to feature fashion historian Ivan Sayer’s personal collection of vintage “upcycled” garments. You probably don’t know about all the other stuff we’ve planned:

  • educational demonstrations by craft maven Thrifty By Design and OSF’s own Audrey
  • looks from local eco-fashion designers
  • an amazing silent auction

For the last few months, we’ve been holding back some of the most interesting and valuable donations to OSF. Here’s a preview of what you’ll see at Re-Purposeful’s silent auction. Remember–you can’t bid unless you attend the event.

January 25, 2015, 2pm @ Highlands United Church
3255 Edgemont Blvd. North Vancouver. (Transit accessible by the 246 bus!)

Thanks for a great evening

We really enjoyed the Vintage Fashion Show last night – the styles took us back to our High School graduation dinner and dance. The Hastings Crossing BIA put a huge amount of work into organizing this event and its Executive Coordinator, Wes Regan, was a fabulous MC.

Thank you also to Pure Magnolia, the Vancouver Mini Maker Faire, Blim, Frogbox and kdon for their support and for contributing fabulous prizes for our fundraising raffle. There were some lucky winners!
